If you want to work with me,

you’re a feminist with a big heart and a badass vision.

You’re creative, growth-oriented, courageous, successful . . . and yet incredibly self-critical.

You tend toward over-doing for others and under-loving yourself.

And as such, you achieve yourself into roles and routines that burn you out,

and then you sit and wonder:

I can do anything . . . so why the fuck am I living like this?

See if this resonates:

you are a hard-working feminist

You have high standards:

for the world,

for your communities,

and especially for yourself.

You do extraordinary work, and have the achievements to show for it.

You tend to make your way to leadership positions.

You’re first to take on the hardest assignments, and the extra work.

You can be a bit of a perfectionist,

but you don’t love that about yourself,

so you tell people you’re a Recovering Perfectionist.

People say, “We wish we could clone you.”

And until recently

(maybe even until just now)

you took that as a compliment.

But you’re sick of acting like a high-performing machine.

You want to be honored as a whole human being.

you tend toward self-doubt and worry

Despite your badassery

(and there is AMPLE evidence of that)

you have a hard time trusting yourself.

This makes sense:

our culture has - for centuries -

declared We Can’t Trust People Like You.

And of course that affects you.

It’s unsettling:

while you know deep deep down

that you are powerful

and that you can do anything,

you mostly do what other people need and want.

Oof.

And when you consider what YOU want to do,

you get all tangled in worry and What Will People Think,

all weighed down with self-doubt and What If It Doesn’t Work.

This keeps you stuck.

It’s fucking annoying.

you are ready to evolve

Deep down you know:

you don’t really like this life

(this business, this job, this marriage)

you’re working so damned hard for.

Okay.

So now you’re ready for better.

  • You are ready to wake up every morning and be thrilled with what’s on your calendar.

  • You are ready to have luxurious stretches of unscheduled time: for weekday afternoon massages, impromptu day trips, deep dives into exciting new ideas.

  • You are ready to have the time and energy to move and feed and care for your body.

  • You are ready to feel so good about money that you tip your manicurist 100% without a second thought.

  • You are ready to say No to whatever doesn’t feel good, including the guilt for doing so.

  • You are ready to learn how to give yourself a break both literally and figuratively.

  • You are ready to be your whole self without apology.

In short? You are ready to live better so you can do better, and live an exemplary, evolutionary everyday life.
